We would like to draw your attention on the Memo No. 559 dated July 24, 2017 stipulating the increase of NSSF contributions as follows:

• Social security contributions for the Sickness & Maternity scheme paid by the employee will increase from 2% to 3% with a ceiling of LBP 2,500,000 equivalent to LBP 75,000 per month;
• Social security contributions for the Sickness & Maternity scheme paid by the employer will increase from 7% to 8% with a ceiling of LBP 2,500,000 equivalent to LBP 200,000 per month.

The deadline for the settlement of total contributions is September 2017 for monthly and quarterly declarations. As per the period from February 16, 2017, the differences of contributions are to be settled in a special schedule as follows:

• February 16, 2017 to August 31, 2017  for monthly declarations;
• February 16, 2017 to June 30, 2017 for quarterly declarations.
